Roentgenoscopy

I didn't realise the discoverer of usable X-Rays, the German Wilhelm Röntgen in 1895, called the method of electric photography "X" rays as nobody knew what they were. In Germany, one doesn't call anything connected with the process X-rays but "Röntgen".

Today we got a free x-ray done on horse Rosie. A problem that has been going on for exactly a year when we had snow in the first weeks of January & Rosie slipped badly.

I don't know all the details but we have had months of trials & tribulations, some may remember a Blip from June 2019 showing an almost identical scene to this evenings.

If I understood things correctly - keeping my distance from the machinery, things weren't diagnosed acted on fast enough but the damage was anyway very difficult.

The vets we generally use for such matters is a huge practice - I think about 10 qualified vets and at least as many helpers. For the first time, one of the vets visited with whom we have had excellent experiences with our cats & dogs. Wish he had been around at the very start.

His diagnosis of those June x-rays was new to us. As the case interested him, he asked if he could take a new x-ray which confirmed his view. He then gave Rosie some jabs into the leg which should ease up the pain she has but says that in general, she isn't suffering unbearably.

The problem can't be healed & when I said I would like to try my Turmeric Golden Paste, the vet nodded in agreement without even knowing how I made it, simply on the basis that Turmeric is known to be good. Angie has for some reason always been against it despite seeing what positive effect it had on our old Border Flash.

In the photo, you may just see Rosie's lit up left foreleg as they lined up the camera. All the equipment is battery powered nowadays including the massive at least 21" notebook that gets the photo via Bluetooth.
