Finishing Touches

Final day of effort to get the flat finished before we come home. I started by trying to just do touch up of the kitchen but of course ended up painting the whole thing. G sanded & varnished doors, hooks put up, deep cleaning of units, rugs & appliances. All looking good.

Well ... apart from the lack of dining table, side tables, sideboard & sofa. Wasn’t going to name & shame but Marks & Spencer’s furniture department has been awful - stuff ordered in October, delivery date agreed, they cancelled on Saturday without letting us know, hard to contact, don’t call when they say they will, no idea when the furniture will be delivered. Current call is now over an hour long, passed from person to person, on hold for last 36 mins. Absolute rubbish.
