Big wheels keep on turning!!

My class topic this term is transport and children love nothing more than something to physically look at, touch and feel. When I heard a teaching assistant had a giant American style truck and trailer handmade by her uncle, well I just had to ask her to bring it in.

Today the children have drawn the vehicle in art, discussed what it may be used for, compared it to the lorries (or wagon as they say!!) in the UK and started to think about the way wheels work.

They love it!
