CARBON NEUTRAL FEED REGIME

As I watched the Herons and the shags feeding today I thought about if they were CARBON NEUTRAL in their feed regime? I'm not sure about it but I did note they were feeding in the shallows amongst the weed which is probably fed by run off from the Estuary surrounds.. HUM-phreys Drive can get pretty sulphurous some hot days - who knows about all these things - I just got on and enoyed being with the birds !!
