Field Glasses

We went to see the movie ‘1917’ last night. Very dramatic and we thought well done.  Anyway, seeing uniforms from that era reminded me of the various items we have tucked away from my father’s family.  These field glasses belonged to his father who was killed on the Somme on Christmas Day in 1916.
