Have you ever heard the saying "We teach best what we most need to learn"?

Today as I was training, I was talking about difficult conversations, and different ways of tackling them. At the end of the day, this flip-chart caught my eye again. The delegates got really useful lessons out of the day, and many of them thanked me for sharing with them valuable skills and tools, and giving them the confidence to tackle their difficult conversations ... but I realise that there are a couple of my own difficult conversations that I've been avoiding for a while. Perhaps it's time to learn my own lessons and put my own advice into practice.
