Make Every Day Memorable

Fishing Boats at Beer

Took a drive to Dorset with the plan to walk some of the coast path to Golden Cap.
The weather was grey and gloomy but it wasn't until we got out of the car at Seatown, did we realise how strong the wind was.
Having driven for an hour we weren't to be put off but as we climbed up the steep paths that overlook Chesil Beach to the east, the gusts of wind were so strong that we were nearly blown of our feet.
We followed a path inland but the fields were so boggy that we had to admit defeat.
Next stop, Lyme Regis for some lunch. Again the wind coming in off the sea made walking around really unpleasant.
Finally, on our way home we stopped briefly in Beer where the boats were hauled out on the shingle beach

Day total: 1.8miles
