Another Bridget Riley painting

This is one of her later paintings (2014). In recent years instead of painting on canvases she has painted directly onto the wall, as in this example, so that the wall is used as white space.

One of the stewards explained that in order for this work to go on display at an exhibition the original , copyrighted blueprint, is used to recreate the art work in situ. This example currently being on display at the Hayward Gallery in a London. This is done by a team from Bridget Riley’s studio. At the end of the exhibition the art work has to be sanded off the wall.
