The Edge of the Wold

Beech and bay

There should be a dog with pointy ears under the pine tree on the left, but after all these years Gus still has a little separation anxiety.  Every time I had him positioned on the grassy mound and backed back to get this framing, he would get up and head towards me into the shadows. Oh well.

This is said to be the calm before tomorrow's storm. We went up the Knott for a sunset walk after a morning of chill-out Qi Gong at Wifie's workshop. Three weeks on from the shortest day, and sunset is discernibly later.  More roadie duties tomorrow morning, so with an early rise I may miss the weather window for a photo before the grim grey and rain return.
