Sun gone down

We had the forecast sunny day and first beach walk for the year.
A few very selected round yellowish and split pebbles were spotted to provide that visual and textural strip at the top of steps which give advanced warning of the flight.
To be used for a small project which I may blip one day to illustrate.
I'm trying to soften / using natural materials this requirement.
To explain going back many years responding to some feedback from a disability group I requested of the major uk manufacturer of staircase nosings
That they do a bright yellow edge strip to be told that there would be no demand for it.
Well they did make and it went down on the project - I wonder now which is the edge which sells most.
