San Juan Capistrano

is one of the mission towns on the coast in California. There are 21 of them and all placed 1 day of horseback riding apart.
Every school child in Middle School has to do a report with a model of one of them.
So, when my daughter did this decades ago, it was a family project. Now it's an 'industry', you can buy the accessories online. But, when one of the grand-children had to do a model and a report, he asked for only simple and self made props. I really liked that idea!!!!
Here on the photo is a catholic church next to the mission. In the mission itself is a wonderful over 200 year old chapel, worth-wile a visit. We did not go inside the mission, but this would be a great place to take a visitor and I will get to see it too.
