Chlorophytum comosum

Or the Spider Plant as I know it. This is the first flower stem bearing the baby plants that lend it its name. 
This plant is partly responsible for my re-kindled fascination and collecting houseplants. It was the last baby from my original but neglected plant. The poor wee thing had languished for months in a jar of water long after the parent plant had died. 
I finally potted it last June, and moved to a larger pot in October, just before New Year, it sprouted this shoot. I will treat the new little plants with more care.
