The expedition staff

We docked at Ushuaia at about 5 am.  They have to resupply and get ready for the next lot of passengers and trip so I guess they like to get in early.  We went on deck 7 for a group shot and here the expedition staff posed for us.  I have just noticed that Nina the historian was not there.    They were a great bunch pretty much all with Antarctic experience and from diverse countries of Germany, Austria, Indian, Russia, Australia, US, NZ and Canada. 

A last breakfast and then it was time to say farewells and disembark and be taken to our hotel.   We killed time waiting for our rooms to be ready by having lunch and doing a bit of retail therapy but before that, it was our first change to have access to Wifi (except Barry) and it was catching up with emails and the like.

Walking around town I was surprised by all the Christmas decorations.  It felt strange being so long away from world it in many ways was being like in a cocoon.
