Rear view

Berry has taken to popping up and checking out where we're off to - basically down the drive at this point, but eventually we got up onto the Mynd before any weather caught up with us. Actually, although it's been unpleasant, we've not had the very high winds (yet!).

I've finally cleaned Dad's room; it took much longer (it always does) than anticipated. I do loathe cleaning, even when I try and appreciate what I'm doing and do all that stuff about being in the moment ... Nope, it's just b***** cleaning ;-))

We had a failure on the 'climate control' (aka the fan and blower) in the big car before Christmas on a day when it was actually really cold and we needed the warmth. Fortunately, the car is still just within the purchase warranty and it was fixed for free today. However, it is slightly startling to be told that it's a common fault and due to the poor casing around the fan motor which splits and lets moisture in. Not what you'd expect in a fairly expensive car.

An old acquaintance got in touch with us over the summer when they were in Orkney. LH has just received an email from the golf club there saying they'd had a delivery of a Christmas card, addressed to us from said acquaintance. Goodness!!
