Clearing out.

This small pond is is the “wild” part of the garden.

In Summer it has a lovely display of the flowers of Bog Bean. This is an aquatic plant found in the wild at White Moss Common near Rydal Water in the Lake District. It grows an extensive root system and at this time of the year that has to be cleared out as seen in this shot. This is good for the plant but also leaves more space for the frogs which will soon be beginning their wild parties.
