Roman Doncaster

When we were kids in school in Doncaster we all received one of these in 1974. They were made to commemorate the end of the County Borough of Doncaster that had been in place since 1927. It was based on a Roman drinking beaker found in Doncaster, or Danum as it was known in Roman times.

I found this yesterday as I’ve been sorting through all my late mum’s boxes this week.

Wondering if anyone else has one?
