Normal service resumed

We have so missed the chiming of the hours from this clock over the past months. I know it's a sound that drives many potty, but we love it, especially in the small hours when you've no other reference to time and space. It's like having an old friend back. We didn't manage to reassemble it yesterday (not a job to be done in haste!) so it was done this morning. I hadn't realised how often I look at its face until I was presented with a blank every time.

A long phone call from dear friend D and a date in the diary to meet up. It's so good to have the love and support of others and to send it back.

Otherwise, an interesting appointment with the homeopath and Berry's dog class this evening. The latter is giving us interesting insights into dog behaviour with a bit of practical work at the end. Berry cottoned on so quickly with the trainer and then got so obviously bored it was laughable! But the very valuable lesson is that we need to do things in short bursts before she goes her own way, acts up and then moves into seriously mischievous mode!
