Turgenev House

At lunch went for a walk in the neighbourhood to my new office - taking the benefit of warm weather!
Here is one of very few wooden houses in central Moscow. This used to be the house of Turgenev's mother, who lived there in mid 19th century. Ivan Turgenev stayed there with his mom on a number of his visits to Moscow. There is a theory that Turgenev's famous story Mumu was inspired by the deaf servant in this house. The younger generation obviously nicknamed this building the Mumu house.
One of my favourite quotes from Turgenev:
I never started from ideas but always from character.
I'll think about it over the weekend. HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE!!!!
