Whalley Abbey

Following the dissolution of the monasteries, Whalley Abbey was closed in 1537 and now stands in ruins. 
These ruins have a reputation of being haunted - fortunately nothing untoward was experienced today as we enjoyed a walk around the grounds, mainly in sunshine, but with a cool wind.
