Flying over the Pyrenees

Alicante airport was manic this morning with too many people squeezed into too small a space. There was a fire in the terminal a few days ago (in Burger King) which closed the airport for a while and meant a lot of flights cancelled, delayed or diverted. Now the airport is working on reduced capacity with only half their gates in use. Our flight doubled up a gate with another flight but then we had to be bussed to where our plane was parked. This meant delayed and late flights although not a big problem for us. I think the insurance claim against Burger King might be rather large - closing an airport, cost of diverting planes to other airports, restaurants nearby BK still closed, damage to the terminal etc etc.

Flight back to UK was smooth and clear so the blip is a view as we were going over the Pyrenees at 38,000 feet. Very beautiful. Extra at Alicante where there was a very large number of wheelchairs gathered together - group outing? I just had to get the phone out!
