Looks Good To Me

Close Enough

As a recovering engineer and practicing woodworker, I am frequently charged with the important duty of equitably dividing a favorite edible delicacy. I take the responsibility seriously, and verify my accuracy using the kitchen scale -- set to metric units, of course. I am seldom more than a few grams off -- even with irregular objects such as a croissant.

The pressure was intense tonight. We were having some panforte -- one our favorite seasonal treats. I weighed the first piece -- 57gm, looked at the second piece and said, "I think this one is a little smaller".

It was 56gm. Please, no applause necessary.
