Fun at the Railway Museum

What could be better? Son, grandson and a steam locomotive? A hat trick! A double hat trick would be if my other son and grand daughter and, of course, Susan were there too.

This was at the Southern California Railway Museum at Perris about an hour north of San Marcos. The weather was superb, blue skies and temperatures reaching 20c. It was an open day when all the sheds were open to the public and there were rides on the loco hauled train, a tram and a streetcar not to mention loads of exhibits. Grandson and grandad we’re in their elements.

To round off the day we had a walk and Landon had a scoot around Lakeview Park. He came to grief a few times, falling off the scooter when not looking where he was going. Tough little cookie though. A few seconds cry, dust him down and he’s off again!

We had sushi for dinner, a takeaway from the restaurant just across the road. Only the second time for me, the last time was in New York in 2011. We ought to do it more often.
