CSI:Knutsford

We had come out of it quite lightly on the snow front today in Knutsford, compared that is to the South West and Wales. Only a light dusting this morning as I came down for breakfast, and only a few flakes more before we headed off to my mum's mid afternoon.

Once it got light, I had spotted two slightly odd bare patches in the snow on our back lawn. I went outside to look closer, and leading to and from it were a series of animal trails with little tufts of grass spread about. What to make of it? I could have done with the tracking knowledge of a 'Ray Mears' type, or the forensic science of a crime scene investigator. Maybe a dog or fox had been snuffling for food in the snow, except the footprint tracks looked way too narrow for either. Maybe it was a cat catching a bird or rodent, but too neat and ordered, and no feathers or fur to be seen. Maybe a squirrel looking for his buried nuts (hey, it was cold) except we have no big trees our side of the road, and so never see them here. Curiouser and curiouser. Guess we will never know.

Thats all the excitement happening in my neck of the woods so far today!

Have a great weekend all.
