Housewife's Choice

A little .....

better today.  We took him to the emergency vet yesterday evening and they kept him in as they weren't happy with the way he was hunching over and it could have been any number of things.  This morning they said he was much brighter, had eaten and had a little walk and so they were treating him for gastroenteritis.  We duly went off to fetch him but had to wait an hour because of other emergencies there ..... the up shot was that whilst we were waiting the vet nurse had seen him do some explosive messes whilst he was in the kennel and so it was with a few proviso's that it was agreed that we could take him home ...... good job there were two of us as he was very messy even though they had hosed down his rear end .... we had no towel to sit him on and he had messed the blanket we took with him there and it was in their washing machine!  Armed with only a small car duster and a handful of wipes we made our way home, half an hour and the smell was dreadful but we got him home, he went straight to the garden and then we cleaned him up properly.  We got some nappies and Little Ro made a hole for his tail.  Whilst he isn't really overjoyed at this at least he's home.  He won't eat the binding paste that they gave us so now will have to find something palatable to hid it in ..... that won't upset his tummy more :(. Looks like another uneasy night.  His heart murmur can be controlled we are assured and it shouldn't impact on his life span so that is another thing we'll have to get reassessed when he's better.  He's gone from 1 to 3/4 on the scale of 1 to 6 that they use so looks like he'll need some medication now.
