Felicity Wren

Today had a very sad start as R and I came to Liverpool yesterday to attend the funeral of her art teacher, mentor and friend. Felicity. It was a very moving ceremony, standing room only, with lots of tributes, including R, and some talented friends singing and playing music. She was an incredible woman who ran one of the city’s oldest independent galleries and gave so much to so many in time, opportunities and encouragement. R had the chance to catch up with lots of old friends which was lovely.
The funeral coincided with a weekend we had already planned with M&L, and the boys to show them Liverpool and they arrived at teatime. We booked into an Airbnb and after a brief freshen up headed to the Philharmonic pub and dinner at the Pen Factory. We were joined by Nick & Vicky, and Carherine and Graham which was great, and ended the evening in a very old pub. As we left there was a 10 minute burst of hailstones. Weird weather, to coincide with a strange sad & happy day.
