Traditional tools used for Moko

Here are some traditional tools used for Tattooing also known as Moko in the Maori Language. Originally they used a chisel to draw the tattoos on peoples faces. Now they use needles a more safer approach. Women have tattoos on their bottom chin and upper lip and the men have their tattoos all over their faces, upper body and lower body. Each tattoo has a specific meaning like status and tribal affiliation.
