Life in Newburgh on Ythan

An "upmarket" Hotel

A serendipitous find for my occasional series of great names for a British pub.

The "respect our vote" posted on the Hotel Brexit refers to the fact that a large majority of Scottish people were rather keen to stay within the European Union. In the EU membership referendum held on 23 June 2016, all thirty-two council areas in Scotland voted by a majority for the UK to remain a member of the EU. Overall 62% of all voters in Scotland voted to remain a member of the EU, with only 38% voting to leave.

I have just been looking at some lovely old Soviet photographs that have recently been found in an abandoned house. You might find them interesting. They can be seen here.
