EIDER FAMILY

I was singing this morning at the funeral of one of our choir members at St Hilda's on the Headland. It was a really good attendance and the choir turned out in force which encouraged everyone to sing the hymns at full volume which can sometimes be difficult on these occasions. I didn't go on to the wake afterwards, but went and hung over the sea wall to look at where lots of eiders, curlew, oystercatchers, cormorants and turnstones were snoozing on the beach waiting for the tide to go out. There was a seal swimming about too, but I didn't manage to catch a photo. It was very peaceful. There are some extras.
