Minus the wig!

Apologies-taken yesterday, but for a reason.

Whilst I was at R’s sorting out the flip flops I asked her to try on two dresses that pre date her arrival in this world.

Having see the Zandra Rhodes exhibition on Sunday, I had to find the dresses in the drawer under the spare bed. I made this one in Lossiemouth in 1974 from a length of material bought in Lincoln market the previous year. Maxi dresses were the fashion for events in the evening. The style of the dress was determined by the fact that there wasn’t enough material. So black kimono type sleeves fitted the bill. B chose the material, as these are certainly not my colours!! R was amazed at how well it fitted her, a perfect fit !!! She is unlikely ever to wear it unless she gets invited to a ‘70’s party.

A busy day that saw the flip flop dress and two large cushion covers finished, to be deliver on Thursday. Also more work on the Nurses League mail out, that wasn’t such an easy or pleasant task :0(

Amber was collected from her hols yesterday and had a lovely lazy day at home today.
