Interesting?

Probably not photographically!

Yesterday I asked Mrs AMK to look at her grandfather‘s very old barometer that hangs in our hall - I had noticed it was reading surprisingly high certainly compared with recent times and it confirmed what the TV weather ladies had been telling us about high pressure. Today’s reading in the blip was back a little on yesterday.

I didn’t think she had been paying much attention  but this morning she pointed out an article in our local Dundee Courier reporting “ High pressure record is smashed during dry and sunny conditions “ - she must have been listening !

This was referring to a recording in Wales 2 days ago which had the highest air pressure reading in the UK since January 1957.
Incidentally the Courier reported that the current highest pressure ever recorded in the UK was in Aberdeen ( some 70 miles North of here ) on January 31st 1902 .   Interesting? !!
