Gruesome Souvenir

So G was busy today.  Like 6 hours on her feet, rushing from one appointment to the next to get everything sorted for the QSM's move into a (short-term) care home.

The absolutely pitiless bureaucracy that governs these processes really ought to be reassessed.  What if G wasn't here, what if the QSM was alone?   It doesn't bear thinking about.

As G was about to head home, she was given this rather gruesome sounvenir of the QSM's time in the hospital.  This was the first implant the QSM received (minus the ball joint) - before it had to be replaced in operation number 2.  The pen gives you an idea of size.

I wasn't absolutely useless today, I picked up Sushi from the good restaurant as a treat for G.  It would have been a shared treat if Nisha had had her way - she was very keen but she was kept with me in my office until G was finished eating.
