Melrose Abbey

The sun was out this morning so I thought we could take a wee trip to Melrose to see the Abbey. Unfortunately, by the time Trigger got over his hangover, the sun had disappeared.

The Abbey has been here since it was established in 1136 by the Cistercian order of monks. There are Scottish kings and nobles buried in the grounds and the heart of Robert the Bruce was buried under the floor. It was very mild and we had a good walk round.
