Culross Palace Gardens.

Over to Culross this afternoon and we discovered that while the palace was closed until April, the gardens were open. The teazel seed heads were standing about six to seven feet high and looked good against the blue sky. I wandered round to the orchard and was met, see today’s extra, by this big cockerel . The orchard is kept tidy by a small flock of hens who, I suppose would also provide a steady supply of eggs for the palace.
Later Andrew came by for tea. We had haggis, neeps and tatties, an early Burns supper. Delicious it was too!
