Happy Hour in Paris

Just a photo at the La Muette metro exit--we did not stop for a drink :) We were returning from a wonderful exhibition of early works by the Dutch artist  Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) at the Marmottan Monet museum. (See the extra.)  Mondrian was a crucial pioneer of abstract art, and the show includes some 60 works from ca. 1908 to 1920, precisely the time during which he moved from a figurative style to abstraction--his most interesting period for me. He is a favorite artist of mine--a marvelous experience.
