Swan path

Unfortunately the weather changed for todays walk with the local walking group.  It was a grey misty start and this prevailed for all the day.  The walk leader had changed the route due to the amount of mud encountered on steep parts of the route.  We ended up doing a walk along the River Otter and up along the coast path before returning to Otterton.  Walking along the river we stopped to watch a dipper on some fallen branches in the river and then a few yards along we waited as two swans slowly walked along the path towards us.  The rear one had a strange gait but they moved across to the river as they got very close to us and then both flew off.

Despite the poor weather it was an enjoyable walk in one of my favourite places.
