Unlock!

We had a really promising meeting with a locksmith today, but not a conventional locksmith - a dementia locksmith. The social services who cover the area where the FIL lives have this service we had never heard of until now. It provides free of charge more intensive carer visits for 6 weeks, the aim being to 'unlock' the FIL's resistance to co-operating with his carers.

If this doesn't work then social services are likely to say he has to go into a care home, though how they are going to get him there will be interesting. We have changed our minds now about where this care home should be. We're not thinking of somewhere close to us now, but rather somewhere near his current house. Makes everything a lot simpler to organise.

I was thinking about taking a photo of some padlocks all the way home. It took a lot longer to do than I expected as I couldn't initially remember (again) how to turn the Fuji flash on. Got there in the end.
