The Old Rosslyn Inn (circa 1660-1866

We walked today with the club in Roslin Glen; it was hard walking because of the snow and the pathway above the river was quite dangerous. However, we had no mishaps and all survived to go the the pub afterwards.

At the end of our walk we passed Rosslyn Chapel, of 'Da Vinci Code' fame; it has been having ongoing repairs done for number of years, and we were disappointed to see that there is still some scaffolding erected around it. Next to it is the Old Rosslyn Inn, which accommodated countless travellers over the years, including James Boswell, Dr. Samuel Johnston, Sir Walter Scott, Alexander Naysmith, Robert Burns, and William and Dorothy Wordsworth.

If you look closely, or in large, you can see a bit of the Rosslyn Chapel to the left of the picture.

We had a super day out, and came back home to the Banana Belt and no snow once more.

Hope you all had a wonderful day.
