Getting Ready

Wherever you go in Mourão these days, folk are sprucing things up - a week from now is our big festival, and the town will be packed with returning Mouranenses and visitors. This is the church where we've been meeting while they've been working on the main church up in the castle.

Off in a bit to church in Vendas Novas, and then on to Lisbon with the Amigos, for a meal of suckling pig, with a group of couples we meet up with occasionally. In Cecílio's car, though Duarte was kind enough to bring our newly fixed car back to us here.

And, thanks so much for all the appreciation for my very simple Blip yesterday.

Gratefuls:
- our support group FTing us this morning, they are so encouraging, what a privilege to have people who regularly pray for us, and care
- Maria and Zé at the market, so kind to us, always insisting on slipping extras into my bag, and showing me how to cook local products
- laughter and friendship at the Adega, though the main group were away, singing at a wedding in Cuba (town in the Alentejo, not the country)
