Isotopes

I walk past this plaque most days and only just spotted it.
The house it was attached to (now a Glasgow University building) is quite far away from the pavement, and I had to hang over a spiked fence to take this picture with my iPhone - hence the poor quality.

It says:

At a dinner party, held at this house in 1923

Frederick Soddy (18//-19//)

introduced the concept of 'ISOTOPES'
He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1927 (?) for his work on radioactivity.

It's a great little piece of history to stumble upon.
