a lifetime burning

Memories of Iceland

Considering that we had a flight to catch it was not too early a start today, as our flight back to the UK wasn't until late morning.  The sun doesn't rise in Iceland until about 10:30am  at this time of year, so it was still very dark when we  pulled back the curtains this morning on a snowy car park near to the airport.  All the travel arrangements went well, and we are now back at home.

We really enjoyed our trip to Iceland.  I would love to go back - there was so much that we didn't get around to.  In part the weather held us back as they suffered two major storms during our visit.  The second storm last Thursday caused the airport to shut and the cancellation of flights to the UK.  So there's plenty to think about for the next trip ... as and when :-)

I've almost finished editing the photos that I did manage to take, finally.  So the next task (which can wait until tomorrow now) is to replace the lens cap that I lost at the Kerid Crater :-(
