Sun soaked

Bruntsfield Primary looking grand in today's welcome burst of sun when i arrived to collect my great-niece.

Like all the schools of its era, designed to reflect the status of education at the time. No short-lived skills factory this.

I learned to swim in its basement swimming pool in the '60s, walking there and back from St Peter's Primary in crocodile with the rest of my class. And without a teacher, unless my memory is failing me.
