These lanterns must be spectacular when they are lit in the evening but they still look good during daylight.   A canopy of 400 Chinese lanterns together with banners of some poems of Robert Burns hang in St Giles Cathedral to celebrate Burns Night and the Chinese New Year both of which fell last Saturday.
