Blink

Art should go to the people. It should not just be produced as merchandise to disappear into some rich man's apartment as an investment. I believe that artists should be drawn more into the forces of life. They should be just as important as the banker or businessman. An artist should be taking part in all the big issues because he is the one person who is capable of adding the value of aesthetics. Nobody else can do that. When it comes to building a highway, he should be called in and the same when it comes to planning a new city. Instead, he's always called in as an afterthought.
