Winterwatch

We had our first snow today. After it had cleared up, I went for a walk along the river, hoping to see Dippers which I haven't seen along our stretch for quite some time now. There was very little birdlife - a few Robins, a Mallard, a Moorhen and a couple of Herons. Different story with the fungi. There were plenty of these beautiful Scarlet Elfcups, and a spectacular display of Turkeytail - see extras
