Chat On The Wire

We heard blood-curdling screams in the garden this evening but I wasn't concerned as January is when foxes mate and they're very vocal. I grabbed a torch, held Ollie dog's collar and opened the back door.  The beam caught a very excited looking fox in wonderful condition. We stood and listened as it cavorted with its mate in the darkness. 

We walked at Holyfield Farm this afternoon. The stonechats were in their usual position in the brambles along the path. These birds are very fond of blackberries. I got some shots of them standing amongst the thorns. The barbed wire looks like a much more comfortable option.
