Shady palm

Mid day is never a great time for photography...or so I was told. But today I was pleasantly surprised. This is a close up of a palm leaf on which another leaf has cast a shadow. I keep trying to call them palm frawns but then the squiggly line shows up under 'frawn' and leaves me with no suitable alternative.
