Brickbat Alley

Brickbat Alley leads off Leatherhead High Street. When I first used to shop in Leatherhead it was a pathway through to the car park. It had a little shop where you could buy anything you would need for lampshade making. Does anybody make their own lampshades nowadays? The area totally changed when a shopping centre was built behind the High Street. The little alley leads nowhere now, and is used for bin storage - that is why the blip is of the upper part of the alley! I can find nothing in my local history books about the origin of this little alley with a quaint name. Intriguing.
