Seas the day

A sizeable chunk of the day was spent thinking and talking about the possibilities we have for a marine conservation programme in Mozambique. We’re checking with various partners and organisations so we know what our entry points are, in terms of both project themes and geographical locations.

The Commonwealth Clean Oceans Alliance, CCOA, is a growing initiative looking into marine pollution issues and we can likely work with it increasingly closely. Mozambique was the first country to join the Commonwealth with no constitutional link to the British Empire, which was a smart move to now benefit from these sorts of projects and funds. At least the UK is not exiting the Commonwealth, which can’t be said for all collaborative unions that it would be nice to remain inside, as of tomorrow.
