Not the Moulin Rouge

The most comfortable seat for me in the living room, is the armchair next to the glass doors that look onto the garden.

Its where I currently spend most afternoons having a nap, with feet up on a footstool.

My blip is of the ceramic drinks mat (coaster) that I use. It is an advertisement for a very saucy Parisian cabaret /"spectacles" that opened in the theatre in 1956.

The Theatre des Varietes was inaugurated in 1807 in the Boulevard Montmartre and over the years premiered many operas. The theatre also played a prominent role in Zola's 1880 novel Nana. It is one of the oldest Parisian playhouses still operating.
