On Pilsden Pen

The boys were desperate to go sledging again, so off we went to Pilsden Pen for the second day in a row. This image shows the Marshwood Vale in the distance which, like Lyme Regis and much of the South West coastal strip, has no snow.
You can clearly see the ancient earth works of the hill fort just below Thomas that have been here for thousands of years. The Iron age people who lived up here must have been a tough lot - it was cold enough today with 21st Century clothing!
